SUMMARY:Gg Volunteer Facilitator Training: Princeton
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Facilitators make all the difference by creating a safe and caring environment where children\, teens\, and families can express themselves\, care for each other\, and rebuild their lives together. Our facilitators listen without judgment or criticism and offer hope by building an understanding community. \nThe comprehensive training is an engaging experience which develops skills\, reframes ideas about death and bereavement\, explores the complexity of the grieving process and variables that impact grief\, and provides a personally transformative experience.
100% of our 250+ facilitators agree they would “highly recommend” our training to others. \nClick here to download the Facilitator Training Registration document.

SUMMARY:Grief Expressions Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:Camper Registration Camper Forms Counselor Registration Counselor Forms\nABOUT CAMP\nAges: 1st through 8th grade – Campers \n9th through 12th grade – Camp Counselors (see below for additional information) \nCost: $75 ($125 after June 1st) \nScholarships available upon request (email Christina@good-grief.org) \n  \nGrief Expressions Summer Camp brings together kids from throughout New Jersey who have experienced the death of someone important in their life. By bringing together children and teens with similar experiences\, camp creates a community of kids who understand and support one another. Marco\, a 2016 camper shared\, “Now that I’m with friends that had someone pass away\, I feel like I can talk about it. We talk about good memories we have\, and we play games to open up and express your feelings. It’s really helpful and it’s a lot of fun!” \nCamp provides kids with the unique opportunity to tap into their creativity and imagination in a safe environment that encourages true self-expression. Throughout the week\, campers will explore a variety of arts while developing skills\, inspiring confidence\, and having fun! \nActivities will include: \n\nWorking with professional artists to create multiple art projects\nDeveloping theatre skills through voice and movement exercises\, improvisations\, and theatre games\nImaginative writing and photography exercises\nArts-based field trips\nPerformances by local professionals\n\nParents and family members are invited to join us on the final afternoon of camp for a performance and arts show. Campers will exhibit all they have learned and created throughout the week as we celebrate the end of camp. \nCamp is open to children in 1st through 8th grade\, with no previous art experience necessary. Throughout the camp\, children will be grouped by age as they attend the various workshops. All art supplies\, camp T-shirt\, bag\, and water bottle are included. A morning and afternoon snack is provided and campers must bring their own lunch. \nTEEN CAMP COUNSELORS\nHigh School students are invited to apply to be a Teen Camp Counselor for our Grief Expressions Summer Camp. This is an opportunity to gain valuable volunteer and leadership experience. If you’re looking for community service hours\, have an interest in the arts\, or enjoy working on projects we encourage your application! Throughout camp you will learn about various arts\, provide valuable assistance to the professionals and camp staff\, and be a positive role model for all of the campers. Following camp\, we are happy to provide letters of recommendation and certification of hours. To apply\, complete the counselor application below. \nVOLUNTEERS\nCommunity volunteers are essential to running our camp. If you are interested in how you can get involved please email Christina@good-grief.org. \nWITH THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS\n         \n              \n
