DIY Events

Have your own idea for a fundraiser?

DIY fundraisers offer you flexibility and creativity with your fundraising. Start a birthday fundraiser, or a memorial fundraiser for your special person.

Create a special page on JustGiving, justgiving.com/campaign/ggdiy2022. This platform allows you to tell your story easily with your network and to accept donations securely via credit card.

Other fundraising ideas:

  • Are you and your colleague’s coffee drinkers? Ask your colleagues to skip the Starbucks or Dunkin run for a week or even a month and donate what they would have spent on coffee to your efforts to fundraise for Good Grief.
  • Host a bake sale, a dinner party, tennis tournament, or a morning of yoga!
  • Challenge yourself. Ever wanted to run a 5k or learn a new skill? Ask people to donate to Good Grief to encourage your training. If you reach your fundraising goal you will tackle your challenge and support Good Grief at the same time!
  • Check in with your local restaurants. Chains like Chipotle and Shake Shack will host donation days- a day where a portion of the proceeds are donated to your charity. Many restaurants will work with you on this so never be afraid to ask. It brings in business to their location as well. A win for everyone.
