From the stressors of the pandemic to racism, our students are coming to us with a significant number of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). This program will take participants beyond a basic understanding of ACEs by providing an overview of current research into the broader array of experiences that can be considered ACEs as well as the importance of also giving weight to positive childhood experiences. From there, participants will learn about how to respond with more informed
interventions at both the individual and school community level. This will include a focus on cultural responsiveness and resilience-building practices.
