It helped us immeasurably as a safe space to talk with those who understood exactly what I was going through as a widower raising a young child and Gabby bonded with other children who were grieving the loss of a parent. We both looked forward to attending each Night of Support, pizza helped too! As Alumni of the program, I feel it’s extremely important to give back to as a Good Grief Guardian to help support those going through early stages of grief like we did.”

“Good Grief was there for our family at a time when I could barely imagine how to support my two young daughters after the sudden death of my husband. They were just 4 and 6 years old, and Good Grief quickly became a safe and happy place for all of us to attend every other week. The peer-to-peer support, along with the many events and summer camps, made a profound difference. My children felt comfortable and supported, and as a result, they are now able to talk about death and grief in a healthy and open way. Good Grief will always be a deeply special and important community for our family. It truly helped us during our time of greatest need, and we want to give back so other grieving families can receive the same support we did.”
