How Schools Can Help Grieving Students

Grief at School and Grieving Students: The Positive Impact of Good Grief Schools

Research shows that schools are a place where children are most at risk after losing a parent, sibling, or loved one. Any yet, 90% of educators have no prior training supporting grieving students. At Good Grief, we equip educators with language, tools, and training to develop a sense of self-confidence in their ability to support their students navigating grief and adversity.

Good Grief Schools takes a comprehensive approach to help children build resilience to overcome loss and adversity in their lives. Our programs support the entire school community and transform schools into grief-informed spaces. Here are the highlights of our work during the 2020-2021 Academic Year.
