Free Webinar: Caring for the Caregiver: Supporting Yourself While Supporting a Grieving Loved One

March 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Free

Presenter: Gina Kornfeind

Spring brings a wave of transitions in schools—testing season, high school and college acceptances, promotion ceremonies, prom, graduations, schedule changes, and shifting routines. For grieving students, these milestones can intensify emotions and disrupt regulation. This webinar equips school staff and youth-serving professionals with practical, developmentally informed tools to support grieving young people during these high-stress, high-transition months.

Gina Kornfeind (she/her) is the Community Outreach and Training Manager at Good Grief and facilitates three support groups at the Princeton Center: Spousal Loss, Child Loss, and Caregiver support for those raising grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She spent 30 years as a hospital-based Pediatric Palliative Care and Bereavement Social Worker and is a strong advocate for creating opportunities for post-traumatic growth. Gina is a mother of four daughters, a native Californian and recent (and very happy) transplant to New Jersey, and holds dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Early Childhood Special Education. A former collegiate volleyball player, she enjoys watching all sports (especially the Dodgers), loves to bake and hike, appreciates time by the water, and cherishes the affection of her two Golden Retrievers, Reilly and Clover.
