Free Webinar: Grief and the Garden: Returning to Nature for Solace and Strength

January 15, 2026 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Free

Presenter: Amy Brummer

Explore how gardens and aromatherapy guide us through grief. Plants communicate through scent and symbolism, offering comfort, emotional insight, and a path to reflection, connection, and healing. Learn how the language of flowers, herbs, and trees can help us acknowledge our emotions, find perspective, and embrace the cycles of life, death, and renewal—an aromatherapist’s perspective on grief, nature, and wellbeing.

Amy Brummer is a Volunteer Facilitator at Good Grief (Princeton, a Registered Aromatherapist, and Co-Coordinator of Central New Jersey Herbalists Without Borders, whose decades of combined experience working in the food, nature, culture, and hospitality fields inform her commitment to connecting people with simple, accessible, and effective resources that encourage regulation, balance, and self-healing. A former chef and journalist who has championed the benefits of regional food systems and sustainable agriculture for more than two decades, she weaves her studies of American Folk Art and holistic health into her community website, Watershed Wellbeing, a directory of resources connecting Mind, Body and Spirit in the Delaware River towns (Trenton, NJ to Upper Black Eddy, PA) that provides information and opportunities for people to develop healthier relationships with nature and their community.
