Good Grief Announces New Board Member Mark Durham

Morristown, NJ – Good Grief is pleased to announce the appointment of new board member Mark Durham, as well as the full slate of officers and board members for 2017. “After spending several years as an active supporter of Good Grief’s mission, programs and events, we are thrilled to have Mark join the Good Grief leadership team. He brings with him a direct and clear vision about the direction of our organization and a high level of strategic thinking”, says Joseph Primo, Good Grief’s CEO.

Mark Durham is a Managing Partner at Strawn Arnold & Associates, an executive recruiting firm specializing in the area of Life Sciences. Prior to his work at Strawn Arnold, Mark spent 32 years working in the pharmaceutical industry. He’s held senior global human resources positions in Canada, Asia and the United States.

Mark received his B.A. Honors Degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He has his M.A. in Psychology from Fairleigh-Dickinson University in New Jersey. For the past 10 years Mark has worked on the Board of Trustees for Community Health Charities of New Jersey and was appointed to the role of Vice Chairman in 2015. He is also an active volunteer at The Covenant House of New Jersey.

Good Grief’s mission is to provide unlimited and free support to children, teens, young adults, and families after the death of a mother, father, sister, or brother through our peer support programs, education, and advocacy. Strategic initiatives include expansion throughout New Jersey to ensure no child ever has to grieve alone.

Good Grief was founded in 2004 and opened their Morristown, New Jersey, center in 2011. The organization expanded their services and in 2015 opened a second center in Princeton, New Jersey. Today the Morristown and Princeton centers provide support to over 750 participants each month in the more than 21,000 square feet of dynamic, interactive, and creative space.
